Thanksgiving Success!

We had a WONDERFUL thanksgiving this year at my parents house. We had great food and company. A couple of days before Thanksgiving I got with my friend Bethany and we decided to make bread cornucopias for the rolls and pumpkin pie made from real pumpkins. It was a blast and they turned out so beautifully!

I was in charge of decorating the table which is my favorite thing to do! It took a while, but with my little brother's expertise (!) and my husband's new found love for napkin folding, we managed to get everything set up. Check out the cool napkins! Way to go Josh!

It was my family's "off" year so It was a small crowd. We had my parents, my little brother Christian, my older sister Jennifer and her family, my grandma, my Aunt Susan, my Uncle Kay and my cousin Bryan there to share the day with us. It was such great company and food. My sister did an amazing job on the turkey and my mom spent HOURS cutting these vegetables into tiny cubes. It looked and tasted amazing! I love how my family loves to try new recipes and how creative they can get!

Later that night we played games together and had a blast showing each other how smart we were in scattergories! hehe So thank you to everyone for making the day so wonderful! We have such a great family!

I spent the rest of the vacation doing puzzles until all hours with my mom and just relaxing with the fam. It was so much fun because I haven't done that in years. It was also so nice to be able to spend some one on one time with my mom- it's been a while since I've been able to do that...so thanks mom.
Gabriel also got his first online toy! hehe I got him a doorway bouncer on ebay. Holden absolutely LOVED it when we borrowed our friend's bouncer, so I decided to buy one. Gabriel is still trying to get the hang of it, but I think he will love it. He already smiles as he sits in it.
And this picture...I just thought I'd put in cause that's Holden's favorite position to sit in while he watches his morning cartoons! He loves to just lie on the table hehe!
Now with Thanksgiving over, I now have permission to start with the Christmas festivities! Yeah for Christmas! It truly is my favorite time of the year!
